In a different story, Julia has revealed for the first time why she divorced her foreign husband and also confessed details she never mentioned before.
Invited to "Invitation to 5", Julia told me that her ex-husband met her at the time of the war, in 1997. For him it was an instant liking, and for his ex, as he later said, it was love at first sight.
"I was known in the curfess. I had gone out for a drink with a friend, it was April, like now. He entered the bar and I, when I saw him, he caught my attention, because at that time in '97, men were rare. I didn't know that he was a foreigner. I liked it, but that's all. As he says, he fell in love for the first time. We lived in Albania for two years, then we ended the contract. The next job was in Italy and I moved to Italy."
She said her husband had previously had another marriage and had two daughters. Julia says they lived in Germany, while she, her husband and daughter around one month old, in Italy.
At that time, his ex-wife suffered an accident and died. Julia chooses to take her husband's two young daughters home and live together. But she then says her husband did not cope with that pressure and left with his job in Yemen, leaving him alone with his daughter and two daughters from their first marriage.
She confessed to staying with them until they became adults and then returned to Albania with her daughter, ending the marriage.
"He was married and had two daughters with a German woman. When I gave birth to my daughter, not a month, my ex-wife suffers an accident and she's dead. I took my ex-husband's daughters home and didn't think they could stay in any of the centers. And I had three kids, who were 11 and 13 at the time. That was a very big responsibility that I think I carried very well. I tried to be a friend to them. At some point, my ex couldn't keep up the pressure and asked to be in a different place with work, and I settled in after a year and a half with three kids at home alone, 28 or 29 that I was.
I went to Yemen and had a long conversation and I saw that he was not giving me a solution to how this would go. But I couldn't leave things unstought, I had to have an idea of what was going to happen and how our lives would go on. When I didn't get such security, I decided how old the girl turned 18 to keep her sister, and then I disconnected. I stayed until I made his daughters. I then decided to return to Albania," she said.
