The Appeals Court of Kosovo has returned for retrial the case against defendants Erjon Kasmi and Xhulian Xhafa, accused of Call Center fraud and the theft of 7 million euros.

The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a panel composed of judges Igerta Hysi (presiding), Saida Dollani (member) and Nertina Kosova (member), today announced the decision regarding the case registered with no. 13 act, date 20.01.2025 registration, on the appeal of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime as well as the appeals of the appellants/defendants Erjon Kasmi and Xhulian Xhafa, against decision no. 43, date 08.07.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime.

In conclusion, the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime ruled:

– Annulment of decision no. 43, dated 08.07.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, ordering the sending of the acts for trial to another panel of the same court.
