The police officer at the Elbasan prison , Ndriçim Kroi , and two other people, the former prisoner  Gerald Stamolla and a relative of the latter,  Esmeralda Komici .

Their arrest was made possible after the discovery of a collaboration scheme between them to introduce narcotics into prison for financial gain.

As was also announced in the Prosecution's announcement, to camouflage his illegal activity, Ndriçim Kroi worked outside working hours as a street vendor, selling used phones and other valuable items, and also taking orders from the families of detainees.

According to the investigative file, it is reported that in order to avoid being noticed, he carried out this activity during the third shift on Saturday or Sunday, when the prison staff was reduced.

The file reveals phone conversations between the officer, his wife, Majlinda, and Esmeralda Komici. The conversations reveal how they coordinated to get the goods into the cell. The officer talks to Komici sometimes on his wife's phone and sometimes on different numbers.
