Searches on the yacht detained in Palasa, Police: Four escorted, no illegal

The police did not find any illegal items or tools during the searches on board the yacht seized in Palasa and the 4 detainees.

Police announcement:

Following the information provided yesterday evening, where at around 9:00 PM, a report was received that, at sea, in front of Palasa, it was suspected that a gun had been fired into the air from a floating vehicle, we inform you that:

Immediately after receiving the notification, the Border Police services, the Maritime Police Unit, Delta Force, the services of the Himara Police Commissariat/Dhermi Police Station, as well as the National Security Force (FKS) groups, were put in pursuit of the vessel by sea and land, as the yacht was moving towards Himara.

As a result of quick police action, it was possible to stop the yacht at sea, opposite Himara, and escort it along with the people on board, specifically citizens BC, 31 years old, LH, 31 years old, AK, 49 years old and P. Gj., 60 years old.

Following the investigative and procedural actions carried out by the Himara Police Commissariat, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the Police services carried out a search of the yacht's premises and the persons on board, where no illegal items or devices were found.

The investigative group continued further procedural actions, taking statements from persons who have knowledge of the circumstances of the incident, as well as conducting expert examinations to determine additional factors of the shooting.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues its investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, verify the information received, and legally document this case.

The procedural materials will be referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Vlora, for further action.
