The Integrated Energy company has reacted in relation to the statements of Monika Kryemadhi and the Freedom Party about the waste disposal site in Sharre. The company says that the purpose of these statements is public blackmail to create environmental chaos in Tirana.

The Integrated Energy company declares that for more than two years, the Freedom Party and its deputies have periodically attacked the Waste Processing Plant, which in the colloquial jargon of this political force is known as the "Incinerator of Tirana".

In fact, says the company, only this political force deliberately uses the phrase "Incinerator of Tirana", because it is not really called such, since waste is treated there starting from a series of procedures such as:

- Measurement and recording of the amount of waste

- Differentiation

- Treatment of construction inerts

- Deposit

- Incineration, which is completed according to the stipulated contract

- And depositing the ash in the hazardous waste landfill

Today, the concessionaire of the Waste Processing Plant in Sharra Landfill has invested over 32 million euros, since its launch.

The company declares that all the accusers, political and media, some of whom attack the concessionaire for certain interests, did not ask for at least basic information on what was invested, when the waste incineration plant will be built, how the waste differentiation process is carried out and why 29 euros per ton is paid.

The Concessionaire invites all media to visit the Waste Treatment Plant at any hour of the day, as it is open to anyone.

"This continuous blackmail, fueled by deceptions and manipulations by MP Kryemadhi, continues the statement, aims to stop the work for the management of over 800 tons of waste per day, with the aim of creating an environmental chaos in the region of Tirana and Durrës.

The company calls on SPAK and law enforcement institutions to intervene immediately to stop what it calls blackmail and harassment of Monika Kryemadhi and the Freedom Party.

In the 33 years of democracy of the Albanian state, it has never happened that a political force persecutes and ineffectually smears a public work, comparable to the countries of the European Union, the statement concludes.
