Izmir Bahiti and Nertil Dalipi were arrested yesterday evening on "Mikel Maruli" street in Tirana, after the police seized over 2 kilograms of cocaine. Below are their two photos, while new details from the arrest have been revealed.
Sources for TCH said that Izmir Bahiti and Nertil Dalipi were in the role of suppliers and would deliver the drug to a person on "Mikel Maruli" street who would distribute it in smaller doses. EH has been identified by the police and is wanted.
The cocaine was suspected to be traded for the benefit of a criminal group in Elbasan. The arrested Nertil Dalipi had very close ties with Regis Runaj, who was killed in Elbasan in July 2020.
Dalip had only returned from Belgium for two days. Sources say that he was under surveillance not only by the Albanian but also by the Belgian authorities.
Bahiti and Dalipi, respectively 29 and 37 years old, are both residents of Elbasan. On the "Mikel Maruli" street, the Police services first located the vehicle with driver Dalipi and passenger Bahit.
During the control, 2 packages of cocaine were found, weighing about 2 kg and 30 grams, which were seized as material evidence, together with the vehicle, 5,250 euros, 120,000 new lek and three mobile phones.
