From 10:00 this Monday morning, the Mandates Council will discuss the request of the Special Prosecution Office to lift the immunity of Belinda Balluku , who has already been suspended from office.
Following the questions asked by the Chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi , the conclusion is reached that the Prosecution confirms that other criminal facts have been established for Balluk.
According to Bardhi, who refers to prosecutors, Balluk's procedural situation has worsened and she is at risk of destroying evidence and committing other crimes.
" He also confirmed that on November 20, 2025, he intimidated two witnesses, asking them to change their testimony.
The prosecution also informed that there is evidence that some "strong" people (meaning elements of organized crime) have threatened witnesses on behalf of Ms. Balluku. They also presented evidence for this at the Council meeting - transcripts of conversations.
According to the prosecution, Balluku or her lawyers have not raised any claims of political influence/political persecution by the prosecution.
The investigation has no political background.
This fact was also confirmed by Balluku's lawyers, who stated that they do not have any claims of this type ," said the conclusions drawn by Bardhi after questions raised by him in the Mandates Council.
