Is Vis Martinaj alive? This is the question that the State Police has not yet given an answer to, even though it has received an ultimatum from Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Since August 9, 2022, the much-wanted justice Ervi Martinaj has been missing. His fate remains a mystery, while two hypotheses exist; has been eliminated by opponents and staged his disappearance.
Journalist Ferdinand Dervishi thinks that Martinaj has been eliminated by his opponents and calls it a closed chapter. He emphasized in ABC that these thoughts come after the statements of Martinaj's family members.
Ferdinand Dervishi : It's a closed chapter, Vis Martinaj has been eliminated by the opponents. I believe it's a closed chapter. They eliminated the opponents. There are some events that need to be seen what happens later. I come to the conclusion that it is a closed chapter because I see the reaction of the parents. They make strong accusations. If this man were alive, we would not have this behavior of his relatives.
The journalist further said that there is no possibility that Martinaj staged the disappearance since a total severance of ties would not be beneficial.
Ferdinand Dervishi : Martinaj himself, to make a departure. When you make this kind of departure and everyone believes that you have been killed, your entire business and influence will be destroyed. He doesn't want that. He cannot make a sudden disappearance, disappear for a year and no one knows where he is. He can make a departure from the police or criminal groups that want to eliminate him, but not directly sever ties in this way. He made many enemies and had other problems. Police experts say that he did not behave with the maturity of the head of a current criminal group. He walked on the road and was always fighting with enemies. It didn't make sense. Made many enemies, not only in crime, but also on business levels.
As for the police, Dervishi said that he wants to find out what happened to the fate of the "king of lots", but the people who eliminated him did not leave any evidence.
Ferdinand Dervishi: The police want to find out, because the prime minister has also put a bail on him. The problem is that those who have done this cannot leave any evidence. A single test will lead them to the source, to themselves. They don't want to take any chances with this story.
