As part of the "Red Card" operation, an Albanian sentenced to 16 years in prison for armed robbery committed in collaboration has been arrested in Greece.

This is about 39-year-old Eduard Vushaj, who was sentenced by the Shkodra Court to 16 years in prison after in 2013 in the village of Grabom he stopped a vehicle while threatening two people with a weapon.

He then took their money and vehicle, injuring both of them with a knife.

"As a result of the information provided by Fast Albania and DVP Shkodër and the exchange of this information through Interpol Tirana with counterparts in Athens, the "Red Card" operation was finalized. As part of the operation, the Greek Police located, captured and provisionally arrested for extradition purposes the citizen Eduard Vushaj, 39 years old. Cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Athens continues, for the extradition of the 39-year-old, to Albania", the Police said.
