The Spanish National Police has hit an Albanian organization that was involved in international drug trafficking based in Granada.

As reported by the Spanish media, three people were arrested, and more than 500 kilograms of cannabis and nearly 700 thousand euros in cash and a firearm were seized.

Operation "Celavi", led by agents of UDYCO-1, specialized in organized crime, has served to put an end to a criminal organization dedicated to the international trafficking of marijuana, announced the Spanish authorities.

The group consisted of three people of Albanian nationality, from 28 to 43 years old, without criminal and irregular records in Spain, who have already been imprisoned by court decision accused of membership in a criminal organization, drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.

The organization was devoted to the collection of marijuana, a drug that was stored until it received the right amount to send to Europe. She had large sums of money, several vehicles and two houses in Granada, one that the leader of the gang used as a home and another where the other two detainees lived and which also served as a 'nursery' for the marijuana they bought.

The agents found 518 kilograms of marijuana buds, small amounts of cocaine and hashish, nearly 700,000 euros in "cash" and a firearm along with ammunition of two different calibers, three vehicles, more than 15 telephones and useful documentation for drug trafficking.

The investigation into these events started months ago due to the connection between the last arrested and other arrested for drug trafficking.

The leader of the group lived in a house in Alhendín, where a large amount of money was found organized in bundles of bills hidden in the kitchen furniture.

In the second house, located in Ogíjares, the agents have located the drugs in bulk bags, a gun and 140 thousand euros in cash.
