Suspected author Gerald Shehu

The author of the murder of 31-year-old Eraldo Nevruzi in Dhërmi, Gerald Shehu, is the co-owner of the hotel, where the victim worked as a receptionist. 

In an announcement, the police say that the work to find the body of the 31-year-old man is ongoing, and the full disclosure of the incident is known, while the perpetrator is still being sought. He is suspected to be in Greece, where the neighboring police are cooperating to arrest him.

From the investigations so far, the video footage seized and the testimonies obtained, it is suspected that the citizen G. Sh. fired a firearm at citizen E. N, the announcement states.

The shocking event happened around 00:30, where the investigative team went to the hotel and carried out a series of investigative actions, from which it turned out that Novruzi was shot with a firearm, around 00:30, by the 43-year-old.

There are two lines of inquiry one for a banal momentary conflict and the other for previous acquaintances and involvement in illegal activities in England where both the missing person and the perpetrator lived.

Police Notification:

Following the intensive actions being carried out by the investigation group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, to find the EN citizen, as well as to clarify the circumstances and complete legal documentation of the case, we clarify that from the controls so far it has not yet been possible to find the EN citizens

The State Police has announced the search for the suspected perpetrator, citizen G. Sh. (co-owner of the hotel where the citizen EN worked) and is cooperating with the Greek Police to make possible his location and capture, as from the investigations so far, the seized footage and the testimonies obtained, it is suspected that the citizen G. Sh. fired a firearm at the EN citizen

The State Police makes available the photo of the suspected author, which has also been made available to the Greek Police and partners of the countries of the region.
