The Durrës court has set the security measure "prison arrest" for 30-year-old Esmerald Balla and his accomplice in the murder of his father, Edison Brahja. Balla is accused of "murder due to family relations" and "arms possession without a permit". As for Brahjan, that of "hiding the corpse".

Esmeraldi appeared calm in the court session, while with his head down he expressed regret.

The young man killed his 62-year-old father on August 13, 2024 and then threw his body into the well. Two days later, he reported the disappearance of his father, Enver Balla, to the police, claiming that he had gone on vacation with an unknown woman.

His conflicting versions of the case made investigators suspicious from the start. He was re-interrogated on September 3, 2024, the day he confessed to the crime committed.

The cause so far is suspected to be conflicts over 75 million old ALL, which are still not known precisely to whom they belonged.
