Even over the next 24 hours, the weather will be unstable, according to forecasters, with occasional heavy rainfall.

"Thursday will also remain dominated by unstable weather, with dense clouds, which will bring rainfall. It will be mainly more visible in the southern and central areas, while in the northern areas the rainfall will be in smaller quantities. Again, it is the south that will have occasional rainfall of medium and high intensity," said Hakil Osmani, forecaster, MeteoAlb.

Friday is expected to bring an improvement in the meteorological situation across the country.

"Friday has signs of a gradual improvement in weather conditions. This does not mean that there will be sunshine, but there will be a gradual decrease in the intensity of precipitation in the western part, and then gradually in the eastern part, precipitation is expected to be in smaller amounts," said Osmani.

Over the coming days, due to fluctuating temperatures, precipitation in mountainous areas will be in the form of snow.
