Two cousins, Niko and Afrim Sina, were extradited this Friday from Albania to Italy.
These citizens were internationally wanted by Italian authorities for the criminal offense of murder.
The two cousins are residents of the village of Rreth Kale Dibër. Niko Sina, also known as Fasli, is 49 years old. While Afrim Sina, also known as Andon, is 52 years old.
They were arrested last year while hiding in Dibër under false identities, and were sentenced by a final decision by the Court of Appeals of Naples in Italy in 2006, to 14 years and 11 months in prison each for the criminal offenses of "Intentional Murder Committed in Collaboration" and "Attempted Murder."
They are accused of having killed Albanian citizen BC and seriously injured Albanian citizen FS in the municipality of Griciniano d'Aversa, on 22.09.1999, with sharp objects and cutting tools, for reasons related to the division of income from illegal activities.
