The former DP deputy, Gerti Bogdani, who died prematurely the day before after a cardiac arrest, will be taken to his last residence today.

The Assembly of Albania announced a day ago that the plenary session that was scheduled for Thursday will be postponed, as it will open its doors for tributes in honor of the former deputy.

The former deputy of the Democratic Party, Gert Bogdani, died prematurely at the age of 44 after a cardiac arrest, while he was having a meeting with some of his friends in one of the hotels on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

In a touching reaction on social networks, his wife, the activist Edlira Çepani, announced that the farewell ceremony will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the burial will take place afterwards in the Sharra cemetery.

"The tributes and the farewell ceremony will be held the following day. September 19, 2024, in the Hall of Plenary Sessions of the Parliament of Albania, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the burial will take place afterwards in the Sharra cemetery," she wrote.

On the other hand, in honor of the figure of former MP Gerti Bogdani, the Democratic Party has announced a day of mourning this Thursday.

"All the activities of the Democratic Party on September 18 and 19 throughout the territory will be cancelled," announced the DP.

In all the headquarters of the Democratic Party, the national flag and the DP flag will be lowered to half-mast and at 12.00 a minute of silence will be observed in all the headquarters of the Democratic Party.
