Shocking evidence has come to light about the murder of 40-year-old Enkelejda Danaj by her husband in Greece.

In an interview given to Protothema, the victim's brother stated that his sister was constantly abused by her husband, whom he had reported to the police at least 3 times.

The brother has shown that Eduart Danaj raped Enkelejda while the latter was pregnant.

"He was violent and while there were 3 reports to the police, there were over 40 incidents. He threatened her several times with a knife and when she was pregnant with her first child, he put her head in bleach. He constantly threatened the children, drank a lot and didn't know what he was doing...", he tells protothema.gr.

Danaj further seeks justice for the loss of her sister.

"We demand that justice be done and that my sister be the last woman to be killed. They had been separated for a year and a half but he never stopped threatening. We went to the police station every week, they kept him for a day and released him. This happened all the time. He threatened us too...", said her brother.

He says about his sister that she always smiled despite her suffering.

"My sister was a lady who raised her children with dignity and despite suffering she always had a smile ," he said.

Eduart Danaj is expected to appear before the Court today, where he will be introduced to the security measure. In a video document published by protothema.gr, the woman's voices and pleas for help are heard during a fierce fight between the victim and the perpetrator that happened last Monday evening.

As the 40-year-old had said in her testimony at the time, they had two children, a 21-year-old daughter and a 15-year-old son, but they did not get along as a couple as there was always violence and threats.
