78-year-old Lekë Ndreshaj has been missing for 21 days under mysterious circumstances in the village of Bzhetë in Malësia e Madhe.

The elderly man had gone to attend a funeral ceremony where he felt unwell.

From that moment on, there is no trace of him.

The Ndreshaj family has sent an official request to Prime Minister Rama for help.

The old man's son has also made available the sum of 50 thousand euros for anyone who finds his father.

In the letter to Rama, the family members express that every passing hour is vital.

They emphasize that he is living in anxiety and needs his immediate intervention as a representative of a state.

Tirana, 30 June 2025, Addressed to: Mr. Edi Rama, Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania. Subject: Urgent request for state assistance and mobilization to find citizen Lekë Ndreshaj

Honorable Mr. Prime Minister, I, Gëzim Lekë Ndreshaj, resident of Brussels and son of Mr. Lekë Ndreshaj, address this public and urgent appeal for your help in finding my father, who has been missing since June 9, 2025 in the village of Bzhetë, Malësi e Madhe, while attending a funeral ceremony for my uncle.

Since that day, we have had no information about his whereabouts or condition. Our family and community searches have yielded no results, while the rugged terrain and lack of technical means make it impossible to continue the search effectively without state assistance.

Please humbly mobilize: Albanian Army Forces, State Police Structures, the Administration of the Municipality of Malesia e Madhe and local units, Helicopters and drones equipped with thermal cameras and specialized search and rescue technology.

Every hour that passes is vital. Our family lives in anxiety and needs your immediate intervention as head of government and as a representative of a state that does not abandon its citizens in such moments.
