New details have come to light from the serious event in Kurbin, where 70-year-old Selman Mihana lost his life after an assassination attempt. The latter, with the function of an economist, is suspected to have been killed in an attempt to protect the owner of the firm, Ardian Gjeloshi, who was the target of the assassination attempt and was injured.
According to the investigative group, the perpetrators were at least four people, who are suspected of being hired killers, who drove in two Range Rover vehicles, with stolen license plates. They parked the luxury cars about 50 meters away from the company and entered the premises from a part that was not surrounded by a wall.
They waited until the businessman and the economist arrived, while it is suspected that they did not recognize their target, Ardian Gjeloshin, after firing a barrage of bullets at both people.
51-year-old Ardian Gjeloshi was traveling in an armored vehicle, so the perpetrators found it impossible to assassinate him on the road, and chose to go to his business to kill him.
After the event, the luxury vehicles were burned, in an attempt to lose any kind of trace
The evidence
In his statements before the investigators, as he showed the dynamics of the event, the businessman Gjeloshi denied having any conflicts, not directing the investigative group towards an investigation track.
The main track of the investigation is focused on the enmity, which is related to an event that happened in 2002 where a woman was killed and a police officer was injured, and the suspects for the crime were 51-year-old Gjeloshi together with his brother.
