While he is internationally wanted as an accused in the assassination of former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja and Aleksandër Laho, Bledar Polovina is requesting a summary trial at the Criminal Court of Kosovo.
Polovina is being tried in a separate trial along with Amar Shkëmbi. His request was dismissed because it was not filed in the form required by law, because it was sent by e-mail to his lawyer.
It was reported at the hearing that Polovina had not been found at his addresses. The court said that information was received from Interpol Tirana that Polovina was located in the US and that an extradition request had been sent to the American authorities, but according to the letter that Interpol brought to the court, there is no information about what happened with this process.
Further, Wednesday's session was interrupted and postponed to March 11, following the request of Amar Shkëmbi's lawyer to familiarize himself with the acts of the file.
