Almost 5 years after he survived the barrage of bullets directed at the vehicle he was traveling in near the Shkozeti overpass, former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja will face the accused perpetrators of the assassination in the courtroom.

At the request of the prosecutors Altin Dumani and Adnan Xholi, the Special Court has announced with a public announcement the former prosecutor, as an injured party, for the preliminary hearing against the 5 accused for the incident where he himself, at that time the acting prosecutor, fellow traveler Aleksandër was injured Laho, known as Rrumi i Shijaku and the driver Andi Maloku, who died in hospital a few days later.

The preliminary court session set for September 10, is held against the suspects as members of a criminal group consisting of Ramazan Rraja, Genti Ndrejaku, also known as Kili or Ekil Ndrejaku, Endrit Sinani, Julian Pjetri and Bashkim Haxhija.

They were arrested in January 2023, after SPAK obtained from French authorities their communications to SKY ECC.

According to SPAK's investigation, Plarent Dervishaj and Julian Meçe, arrested in Dubai and transferred to Albania a few days ago, are part of the same group.

As the victim of the attack on the prosecutor, the GJKKO has notified Rrumi e Shijaku, wanted by SPAK, and Genci Maloku, the father of the victim Andi Maloku, for the trial.

In the list of those notified are also Mitri Prifti and Vullnet Muça, also known as Vullnet Muharremi, who are suspected to have been targets of the criminal group, as SPAK has evidence that conditions were provided for their murder. Luan Mata, the father of the person declared wanted by SPAK, Ervin Mata, has been invited as an injured party in this trial, due to the accused in the file in May 2020, a quantity of tritol exploded near a hotel owned by him in Ruga of Dibra in Tirana.

The Special Court informs the injured parties that they have the right to participate in the hearing in person, or through a legal representative.
