A 44-year-old man who is internationally wanted has been arrested by police at the Hani i Hoti Border Crossing Point, while attempting to leave our country.

Lazër Vladaj, alias Cristian Manea, was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in prison by Italian authorities for exploitation of prostitution in collaboration.

The 44-year-old is expected to be extradited to the neighboring country.

Police announcement:

As a result of increased measures within the framework of controls at border points and the exchange of information between the Border Police and Interpol Tirana, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "The Wanted", at the Hani i Hotit BCP, in an attempt to exit Albania,

The capture and arrest for the purpose of extradition of the citizen:

Lazër Vladaj, alias Cristian Manea, 44 years old, resident of Shkodra.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the Court of Appeal of Perugia, in Italy, sentenced him to 5 years and 6 months in prison, for the criminal offense of "Exploitation of prostitution in collaboration", provided for by the Italian Criminal Code.

Interpol Tirana is cooperating with Interpol Rome to complete his extradition procedures to Italy.
