Woman found raped to death in apartment, 50-year-old Albanian from North
Nazif Muslija

The husband of the woman beaten to death yesterday near Ancona has been found. He is seriously injured, but alive. Nazif Muslija, 50, an Albanian from North Macedonia, had been on the run for more than 24 hours. 118 paramedics intervened to stabilize him. His car, a white Smart, was found abandoned near a rugged area in Matelica. His body was lying on the ground.

In the afternoon, an iron pipe was also found among the material seized by the Carabinieri and their colleagues from SHISH, among the objects in the house in Pianello Vallesina di Monte Roberto (Ancona) where the murder of the wife of Sadjide Muslija, 49, took place yesterday.

The pipe will be analyzed in the coming days; it may be consistent with the murder weapon. The house will be searched for clues, traces, and fingerprints. An autopsy has been ordered, but a date has not yet been set.

The Ancona prosecutor's office had ordered the arrest and an international search warrant against Nazif Muslija, accused of intentionally murdering his wife.

Witnesses had seen him leave the house in Via Garibaldi, in the Pianello Vallesina neighborhood of Monte Roberto, where the woman's body was found, in a Smart car, and he may have driven away. Forensic investigators from the Carabinieri continued their work throughout the morning inside the house where the crime took place, searching for evidence to reconstruct what happened in the bedroom where the woman's lifeless body was found, her face severely damaged by the brutal blows of her killer./Corriere della sera
