As announced, the strike of the customs union in Greece has blocked the movement of vehicles at the border points with the neighboring country.
From 5:30 this morning, the passage of small vehicles, buses and trucks has not been allowed at the Kapshtica BCP, both at the entrance and exit.
As it was announced, the only travelers who are allowed to cross the border are pedestrians without luggage and cases of health emergencies.
Despite the announcement, there have been no shortage of cases of people heading to the border due to a lack of information, mainly tourists or other people who were unable to postpone their journey
"I'm from Austria, I was going to travel to Greece, then I know how to return from Gjirokastra, but now I have to go back because the border is closed, but we didn't know ," said a tourist.
The strike will last until the morning of April 4, thus bringing the movement to a standstill for 48 hours, while after 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, the movement of travelers is expected to normalize at all border points with Greece.
