Tirana Police has finalized another operation against a Call Center. 

The Blue Forces have discovered a point that was used for fraud through fictitious scholarships. 

The administrator of the entity was arrested, while 13 other employees were also taken into investigation.

Police announcement:

The police operation codenamed "Location" is being finalized by the Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Sector in cooperation with the Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Directorate at the General Directorate of the State Police.

An environment adapted as a call center is discovered, through which foreign citizens were deceived, over the phone, into investing in fictitious stock exchanges.

The environment administrator is arrested and 13 operators, including foreign citizens, are being prosecuted.

Computer equipment, mobile phones and work tools containing various data were seized.

Specialists of the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section, at the Tirana Police Department, in cooperation with the Cybercrimes Investigation Directorate and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Court of First Instance, after thorough investigative work, successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Location".

As a result of this operation, citizen RL, 39 years old, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

Citizen RL administered an unlicensed entity, with undeclared activity to the competent authorities, on "Themistokli Gërmenji" street, which they had adapted as a call center.

During the intervention by the Police services, 13 operators were caught red-handed while deceiving foreign citizens into investing in a fictitious stock exchange.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further procedural actions.
