3 prostitution bases hit in Fier/ 4 arrested, 3 bars blocked (Names)

Two days after the discovery of a case of hostage taking and exploitation for prostitution in the city of Fier, 3 other bases were hit that were used for the same activity.

The State Police has blocked 3 premises, 2 bars and a hotel that were turned into bases for practicing prostitution in the city of Fier.

4 people have been arrested by the Police, while 8 others are suspected of being involved in the prostitution network. The arrested are: Nesti Golemaj, Besiko Molishtari, Naxhie Aliaj and Tajar Hysenaj .

The operation follows a months-long investigation with proactive methods, by the Illegal Traffic Investigation Section of DVP Fier and the Prosecutor's Office of Fier.

3 premises (2 bars and a hotel), made available for the practice of prostitution, are blocked. The 4 owners of these premises, who cooperated with each other, were arrested for carrying out this illegal activity.

Also implicated in this illegal activity were 8 other citizens, who were criminally prosecuted. Specialists of the Illegal Traffic Investigation Section of the Fier Local Police Directorate, after a several-month investigation, in cooperation with the Fier Prosecutor's Office, supported by information intelligence, provided evidence of several premises made available for the exercise of illegal activity prostitution.

On the basis of these evidences obtained during the proactive investigation, the Fier Judicial District Court set the security measure "Arrest in prison" for 4 citizens who had local administration and hotels made available for the practice of prostitution. After the appointment of these measures, the specialists of the Illegal Traffic Investigation Section of DVP Fier organized and finalized the coded police operation "Basics".

As a result of this operation, the security measure "Arrest in prison" was executed, for the criminal offenses "Owning premises for prostitution" and "Using prostitution", for 4 citizens, residents of Fier, specifically: -NG, 69 years old
and BM, 71 years old, owner of a bar in the "Kastriot" neighborhood;

-NA, 63 years old, owner of a bar in the "Kastriot" neighborhood;

-TH, 69 years old, owner of a hotel in the "16 Aprili" neighborhood.

From the investigations carried out as part of the "Basics" operation, it was found that these 4 citizens, in cooperation with each other, during the period May 2022-February 2023, had put the 2 bars and the hotel they owned, available for the exercise of the activity illegal prostitution.

Also, for this case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state for 8 citizens, suspected to be involved in this activity. The work continues for the identification and prosecution of other citizens implicated in this case. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Fier, for further actions.
