The Special Court has confirmed the "house arrest" security measures for the head of AKSHI, Mirlinda Karçanaj, and her deputy, Hava Delibashi.

For Tirana Police officer Erion Ismailaj, the measure of "ban on leaving the country" has been repealed, but the "suspension from duty" has been left unchanged.

For the other three suspects, Andis Papa, Gëzim Hoxha and Rogers Rryta, the Special Court has left in force the "ban on leaving the country" measures.

On December 16, the Special Prosecution Office issued security measures for 8 officials and businessmen, including Karçanaj and her deputy, Hava Delibashi. Both were placed under house arrest on charges of “Violation of equality in public tenders or auctions”, “Structured criminal group”, and “Commitment of acts by a criminal organization”.

Meanwhile, the measure of "prison arrest" has been issued for two businessmen, not yet executed. SPAK has requested the suspension from duty of the Deputy Director of Tirana Police, Erion Ismaili, and a "ban on leaving the country". The latter measure was lifted today by the GJKKO.

A security measure has also been requested for administrators of several companies who, through illegal actions, within the framework of a structured criminal group, have formally participated in tender procedures, issued fictitious tax invoices and carried out transactions with companies that were not part of the tender process.

The suspected citizens, the Special Prosecution Office explained, within the framework of the structured criminal group, have committed illegal actions, specifically in determining specific criteria not defined in the law, to favor some companies over others.

As part of the activities of the "Structured Criminal Group", they have forced representatives of companies participating in tenders to drop complaints about certain tender procedures, thus paving the way for predetermined companies, for which the review of the complaint could also lead to a change in the ranking of the winners.
