The candidate for mayor, Admir Sinamati of the "We win together" coalition, was invited to ALBUK television , where he spoke about the problems of the city.

The key word is depopulation and the mass exodus of young people to the UK. In the discussion with the journalist, he was asked several times about the number of inhabitants of Kukës, but he could not give an exact answer.

Conversation :

Admir Sinamati : These are statistics, the departures start in 2015. I found it in an international magazine

Journalist : How many inhabitants does Kukësi have?

Admir Sinamati : There are 46,000 on the list, but physically it is half. We are saying 20-25 thousand.

Journalist : So you, a city administrator is like the father of a house, if he doesn't know how many people there are, he doesn't have to hang around in this place. If we ask in Durrës, etc., and I don't know, he is not an administrator. Neither the prime minister nor the mayor know.

According to the 2011 Census, the population is 47,985. Meanwhile, according to the Civil Registry, this municipality has 59,393 inhabitants. The new municipality has an area of 933.86 km2 with a density of 63.59 inhabitants/km2 according to the Civil Registry and 51.38 inhabitants/km2 according to the 2011 Census.

But it seems that the candidate for mayor, Admir Sinemati, has forgotten to learn these data./ VoxNews
