The 39-storey tower to be erected on state-owned property behind the Faculty of Civil Engineering will have a three-part mixed form. One of them is circular, the second is square and the third appears to have the shape of a triangle.
The architecture of the tower projects that are being proposed in Tirana is exceeding the limits of imagination. As the massive concrete climbs up, its shapes are among the most diverse, if not the most bizarre. An image of Tirana, which is changing by taking on the image that Prime Minister Edi Rama has in his head.
The tower to be built after Civil Engineering was part of the second set of calls for state towers. It was designed by Bahuku studio. The same studio has also designed the state offices, which will be built in the building of the State Cadastre Agency, near the Harry Fultz school.
While, which will serve to accommodate the employees of some public institutions, it will have the form of a stable, with a U-shaped roof, which resembles the tunnels of Enver Hoxha's cooperatives.
These two projects, declared winners in the second Group, will now be tendered. The construction company, which will be declared the winner, will build the state offices with its own money and in return will receive the state land behind the Civil Engineering for free, where it will build the 39-story tower.
The project for the energization of cities is being developed by the Albanian Investment Corporation. It envisages the construction of state offices with the money of private individuals and the giving of free state land to the latter, in order to build towers./ Kapitali
