Europol hits 59 drug and doping trafficking groups, including Albania

An operation in 28 countries, including Albania, has destroyed 59 criminal groups that were involved in the trafficking of counterfeit and misused medicines.

During the operation, the law enforcement officers seized over 40 million euros of drugs and arrested or reported to the judicial authorities 349 suspects.

At the same time, authorities seized massive amounts of misused, counterfeit or counterfeit drugs, doping products and substances, and illegal food and sports supplements, as well as counterfeit COVID vaccines, sanitary products and medical equipment.

Among the most seized items were doping substances and drugs for erectile dysfunction. During the operation, many cases of large-scale drug trafficking were discovered, confirming that it can be as profitable as or even more profitable than narcotics trafficking.
