The State Police finalized a phase of the national operation codenamed " Operation 89 ", arresting citizen  Elvis Koçeku , 32 years old, from Shkodra, wanted for " Attempted Murder", "Disturbance of Public Peace " and " Unlicensed Possession of Weapons ".

The 32-year-old is suspected of attempting to shoot 21-year-old citizen AM with a firearm on January 16, 2026, in the "Krzyqezimit i Vinoteka" area of ​​Shkodra, during a conflict over weak motives.

During the operation, 27-year-old Eduard Kësolla, a resident of the same village, who was driving the Audi vehicle in which the suspected perpetrator was traveling, was also arrested. He is accused of "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime."

The Directorate of the Special Operational Force is finalizing another phase of the national operation, codenamed "Operation", to capture wanted, high-risk citizens.

A 21-year-old man was attempted to be shot dead in Shkodra, and the suspected perpetrator was arrested and taken into custody.

The driver of the vehicle in which the wanted person was traveling in the "Fresku" area is also in handcuffs.

The "Audi" vehicle is seized.

As a result of the rapid administration of information obtained in cooperation with the Shkodra Prosecution Office on the location of a citizen with a record of crimes against the person and illegal possession of weapons, as well as the operational actions carried out by the services of the Special Operations Force Directorate at the General Directorate of the State Police, during the operation codenamed "Operation 89", citizen EK, 32 years old, resident of the village of Grudë e Re, Shkodra, was detained in Tirana.

The Shkodra Prosecutor's Office had issued an order for his detention, for the criminal offenses of "Murder in other qualifying circumstances", attempted, "Disturbing public peace" and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

The 32-year-old is accused of attempting to kill citizen AM, 21, with a firearm on 16.01.2026, in the area called "Kryqëzim i Vinoteka", Shkodra, during a conflict for weak motives.

Also arrested during the operation was citizen EK, 27 years old, resident of the village of Grudë e Re, Shkodër.

The 27-year-old was arrested for the criminal offense of "Supporting the perpetrator of a crime", after driving the vehicle in which the 32-year-old who was wanted was traveling in the "Fresku" area of ​​Tirana.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
