The capital's police have arrested two brothers, 27 and 25 years old, after a conflict in which a firearm was used to threaten a citizen. 

The operation to handcuff them took place in the area called "Kthesa e Kamza", and it is learned that the arrested are  Ledio and Ronaldo Matranxhi .

27-year-old Ledio Matranxhi is accused of the criminal offenses of "Threat" and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition." According to the police, he is suspected of threatening a 32-year-old citizen, AR, with a firearm during a conflict.

His brother, 25-year-old Ronaldo Matranxhi, was also arrested for the criminal offense of "Supporting the perpetrator of a crime", as he is suspected of hiding the firearm that was used in the incident immediately after the conflict.

During the search of the 27-year-old's apartment, the Police seized the firearm, combat ammunition and the vehicle used in the incident, which will serve as material evidence in the investigation.

Police announcement:

The immediate reaction of the Police placed in handcuffs a 27-year-old man, who was carrying a firearm and threatened a citizen, during a conflict for weak motives.

His brother, who hid the firearm immediately after the incident, is also in custody.

A firearm, loaded with ammunition, ready to fire, combat ammunition, and a vehicle were seized.

The services of Police Commissariat No. 6, in cooperation with the Operational Forces of the Tirana DVP and with Commissariat No. 7, after receiving the notification that in the place called "Kthesa e Kamza" a citizen had threatened a 32-year-old man with a firearm, during a conflict between them, organized the work and intervened quickly to capture the suspected perpetrator.

As a result of well-coordinated actions, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

During the search of the 27-year-old's apartment, police found the firearm used in the incident, a quantity of combat ammunition and the vehicle, which were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, for further action.
