A possible criminal event has been prevented by the Vlora police within the "Knockout" operation. 

The blue uniforms have arrested citizens  Bledar Ukshini , 31 years old, and Ardit Qamluku , 21 years old, both born in Pukë and living in Tirana, who tried to sell mines by remote control, on behalf of a criminal group.

"After locating and handcuffing these citizens, in a bar, in the "28 Nõntori" neighborhood, the Police services, during the physical control of them, found 3 remote-controlled mines, mounted with suspected C4 plastic explosives, connected to mobile device, to be controlled remotely.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, will sell the mines, on behalf of a criminal group, against the price of 10,000 euros," said the Police announcement.

Bledar Ukshini and Ardit Qamluku are accused of the criminal offense "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

The police announces that in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, the investigations are continuing for the complete documentation of this criminal activity and for the legal responsibility of the other persons involved.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Vlora Judicial District Court for further action.
