A serious incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the village of Ostren, Bulqiza, where a conflict within the family ended with the injury of a 29-year-old man.

According to the official Police announcement, at around 23:00 on January 29, 2026, it is suspected that citizen BN, 58 years old, after a momentary conflict for weak motives, injured his son, citizen KN, with a cutting tool inside their apartment.

Immediately after receiving the notification, the services of the Bulqizë Police Commissariat intervened in time at the scene, preventing further escalation of the conflict. The police made it possible to arrest the suspected perpetrator, as well as to seize the cutting tool used in the incident.

The injured person was transported to the hospital and is under the care of doctors, out of danger to his life.

He injured his son with a cutting tool (knife). Thanks to the timely response and intervention of the Bulqiza Police Commissariat, further escalation of the incident was prevented.

The perpetrator is arrested and the cutting tool (knife) is seized.

The cutting tool (knife) used by the perpetrator was also seized.

The injured 29-year-old is in hospital, under the care of doctors, and his life is out of danger.

The procedural materials will be forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Dibër, for further action.
