Ervis Berberi's phone was stolen, GJKKO sends the file against Benet Beci

The Special Court has passed the case against the mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci, accused by SPAK of violating equality in tenders during the period when he headed the Albanian Electric Power Corporation (KESH).

Along with Beci, six KESH officials will also be tried: Jonid Kazani, Edlira Mitrushi, Yllka Nishku, as well as members of the bid evaluation committee, Rudin Gjoni, Premtim Dauti and Adela Ruko.

Three weeks ago, at the preliminary hearing, Beci requested a summary trial.

According to SPAK, the violations are related to a tender held in 2019 with the object "Strategic Development of the Energy Sector", worth 96.5 million lek.

The investigation was launched on the basis of acts referred by the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH), after the seizure of material evidence in Evis Berber's apartment.
