Durrës, 26-year-old taxi driver fatally crashes into citizen at white lines

Durrës Police have issued an official statement regarding the accident that occurred this Monday morning in the city of Durrës, in neighborhood 13.

At around 10:30, the 26-year-old driver, identified as AT, hit the 66-year-old FD, who was crossing the white lines. The latter ended up on the sidewalk and with serious injuries to his body after the collision. 

Immediately after the incident, the elderly man was transported to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care, where it was reported that he unfortunately did not survive the injuries he sustained.

Despite the efforts of the white shirts to keep him alive, he breathed his last. The driver of the vehicle was escorted by the city's blues to the Durrës Police Station.

Police Announcement:

At around 10:30, in neighborhood 13 in Durrës, a 26-year-old man is suspected of having collided with a vehicle driven by a 66-year-old man who was crossing the white lines.

The injured person was transported to the hospital, but despite the efforts of paramedics to keep him alive, he breathed his last. 

The driver of the vehicle, citizen AT, has been escorted to the police station and procedural actions are being carried out for his arrest. The investigation team continues to work to clarify the full circumstances of the accident.
