An exciting story of an Albanian family is making the rounds of the network in Italy. The father donated a part of his lung to his 5-year-old son.

Anduel, 34, of Albanian origin, has been living in central Italy for five years with his wife Ornela, 35, and their only son, 5, who suffers from thalassemia. Earlier he had a bone marrow transplant.

According to the Italian media, this was a very difficult operation, done for the first time in Italy, which lasted 11 hours and with 100 medical personnel. On January 17, the man donated a part of his lungs to his son.

After this operation, the 5-year-old will lead a normal life, just like his father, who should lead a more sporty life.

In an interview for "Corriere della Sera", Andueli said that he did not think twice, since it was about saving his son.

"He was ill for two years, I thought the bone marrow transplant I had already done might solve the problem, but it didn't. In two years, many things come to your mind and you think that you will never be able to solve the problem. Instead, thank God and thanks to the doctors, everything went well, now he can go to kindergarten, play with other children. He does not sit still for a moment, eats little and plays a lot. For me there is nothing more beautiful to see, it is wonderful".
