"They take tomatoes from us for 20 lek, in Tirana they sell them for 160

Farmers in the district of Berat gathered in protest this Tuesday morning (May 13) where they blocked the road axis Berat-Lushnje.

They have thrown their products on the street, as a sign of protest, since they were left unsold because they are being asked for at a very cheap price.

Farmers say that they get a kilogram of tomatoes for 20 Lek, while in Tirana they sell it for 160 Lek. According to them, the same situation exists with the cucumber.

Their request to the institutions is not to abuse the prices and to apply the law.
