Now Besnik Rreshka, the 37-year-old Albanian living in Vicenza, has been sentenced to 2 years in prison after threatening and mistreating his wife, a 32-year-old compatriot.

According to the Italian media, last May, Rreshka had threatened his wife saying "if she talks to the police I swear I will kill" and immediately afterwards, in front of the judicial police investigators who had intervened in the meantime, the 37-year-old continued with threats: I will kill you, I will come to Albania and make you pay, I will eat you.

But verbal attacks are often followed by physical ones. With the arrival of Rreshka, beating his wife for trivial reasons related to jealousy, he even threatened her with a firearm: I will kill you, I will kill you!

Last June, Rreshka, although he had received the order to leave the matrimonial home, appeared in front of her house pressing the phone button with the intention of meeting her.

The woman immediately began to worry. The thought of being face to face with her husband again had chilled her blood. In the throes of fear and anxiety, she grabbed the phone without wasting a moment and called the Police.

The police had arrived at the 32-year-old's house within a few minutes, but Rreshka was no longer in front of the house. When he realized that his wife had called the Police, he got into the car and drove off at full speed in the hope of escaping the blue uniforms. However, he was handcuffed.
