Kozeta Teço/ Ilirjan Selmani

The full dynamics of the murder of 52-year-old Kozeta Teço , who was found without signs of life in her apartment this morning, around 6:00 a.m. at a time when the house was engulfed in flames, are revealed.

Initially, it was suspected that she had died from asphyxiation, but then knife marks were discovered on her neck, revealing the truth. Kozeta Teço was killed by her boyfriend, Ilirjan Selmani .

The latter then set the apartment on fire to cover his tracks, but he failed.

The alleged perpetrator, Ilirjan Selmani, who is suspected of having an intimate relationship with Kozeta Teço, initially killed the 52-year-old, then wiped away the blood by cleaning the crime scene and finally set fire to the premises of the house.

The young man lit several fires in the apartment to hide his tracks.

But the crime wasn't perfect, he was caught on security cameras throwing something into a nearby trash can.

Inside the bins there was nothing but towels and paper towels stained with the victim's blood. They had been used by Ilirjan Selmani to destroy evidence and clean up the crime scene.

The perpetrator, who had an 8-year intimate relationship with the victim, has now been arrested and is being questioned to uncover the motive that led the young man from Pogradec to kill his partner.

It is known that the perpetrator occasionally worked in construction or in Greece, and it also turns out that he was a drug user.

It was also revealed that the 37-year-old suffered from mental health problems and was receiving disability benefits due to his condition.

Teço, in conversations with close people, claimed that Selmani had received around 20 million lek in total during the years of their relationship.

The money, according to her, came from her sisters who lived in Greece and Tirana.

The latter had even visited her a few hours before her sister was killed and returned to Tirana. What they discussed with each other is still unknown.

Meanwhile, while he was killing her, Selmani met with some of his acquaintances, to whom he claimed that he had decided to break up with Kozeta, claiming that she had started another relationship.

But it was all an alibi that couldn't save him from being arrested.
