The former General Director of the State Police has reacted regarding the violence against the lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi, yesterday.

Nano, who refers to him as a professor and colleague, condemns the act and calls for society to stand in solidarity against such violence and for authorities to ensure swift and complete justice.

Sokol Mêngjesi continues to be intensively monitored in intensive care, in a serious state of health.

According to the Police, the cause of the rape was due to the duty and that it is related to a civil court process, for a property issue.

The perpetrators of the attack have been identified as 26-year-old Romario Tabaku, 32-year-old Dorian Alia, 21-year-old Drivald Alia, 33-year-old Elton Kasaj, three of whom are still being sought.
