The Durrës Chamber of Advocacy announces a boycott of all court sessions.

The Durrës Bar Association has announced a boycott of all court sessions.

This decision was taken since the lawyers are not allowed to enter the court premises, but wait outside with the parties and opponents, a situation which can cause conflict between the parties.

"After exhausting all possibilities for solving the problem of leaving lawyers outside the premises of the Durrës First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, as well as the extraordinary meeting of the members of the Durrës Bar Association, the Presidency of the Chamber and the Steering Committee, the Durrës Bar Association has made the decision to:

"...Boycotting all civil and criminal court sessions".

Exceptions to this boycott include only court hearings for security measures, their replacement and extinguishment. This decision has effect for the dates 03.06.2024 - 07.06.2024, during or after which the chamber will issue a new decision.

We clarify that all the lawyers who will be found to have participated in the court hearings for which this decision has been boycotted, the Disciplinary Committee will initiate administrative proceedings against them", it is written in the letter signed by the head of the Chamber of Durrës Advocacy, Lorval Petani.
