For many years, the victim worked on the island as an electrician. At the same time, according to information, the 34-year-old managed to build a luxury house in Chora, which he rented out to tourists through the booking.com platform for 800 euros a night during the summer months.

The house that the victim bought in Ornos cost him 150,000 euros. He managed to renovate it, and even put a small swimming pool on his terrace to increase the purchase value of the property and rent it out at a high price to tourists. His family runs a hotel business on the island. His sister is a municipal councilor in the opposition faction.
