Doctor Ilir Hoxha is arrested, he was sentenced to 11 months in prison

Ilir Hoxha, 52 years old, was arrested today by the Tirana police after he was sentenced by the Tirana Court to 11 months and 25 days in prison for the charge of falsifying health documents for businesses that did not respect the anti-Covid rules.  

 "Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Corruption detained the wanted citizen Ilir Hoxha, 52 years old, after the Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime in Tirana has sentenced him to 11 months and 25 days of imprisonment, for the criminal offenses "Passive corruption of persons who exercise public functions" and "Forgery of health documents", carried out in cooperation", the police announced.

Ilir Hoxha was first arrested by the operation ordered by SPAK, which led to the arrest of 14 officials of health structures, who took advantage of the situation of the COVID pandemic by distributing tampons to gain money. The 14 officials did not conduct checks on commercial entities in relation to anti-covid measures, and through material benefits they avoided the imposition of fines or various non-penalties related to the observance of measures for the pandemic. For this they exerted influence on other people and falsified documents where allegedly no violations were found.
