Three citizens have been arrested in Vlora, after allegedly threatening a 30-year-old man to extort 30,000 euros.

The incident came to light after a report was made by citizen KS, who stated that he had been threatened in a bar by three people, who were suspected of also carrying firearms, demanding a considerable amount of money.

According to preliminary investigations, these citizens, at noon the day before, in the "Pavarësia" neighborhood, threatened the 30-year-old man to give them 30,000 euros and then took his "BMW" vehicle, leaving the scene.

The Vlora Police finalized the operation codenamed "Strike", within which it was possible to identify, capture and arrest the suspected perpetrators: AG, 26 years old, MB, 22 years old and MH, 29 years old, all three residents of Vlora.

During the operation, police seized both the vehicle used by the perpetrators and the car taken from the 30-year-old.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Vlora Prosecutor's Office for further action, for the criminal offense of "Coercion by threat or violence for the release of property", committed in collaboration.
