Tonin Prendi, the lawyer of 18-year-old Ensi Maze, has spoken about the serious incident that happened in Tirana on the evening of April 19, where Stiven Toshkesi was left dead.
He said that his client had nothing to do with the incident and that, as it appears in the footage, he tried to put an end to the fight by closing the door of the car where the victim was, together with his fellow passenger who physically attacked Mazen.
He said that Maze had returned from the Netherlands on April 13 and had met with the author Axel Hoxhaj without knowing about the conflict that the latter had with the victim Stiven Toshkesi.
"He had returned from the Netherlands and was going to meet his friends. He was walking on the sidewalk with his friend and at that moment he realized that his friend went towards the driver and to end the conflict he held the door with his foot.
From the film footage, it appears that Ensi Maze did not do anything to the passenger. It was the victim's friend, the passenger who attacked Ensi Mazen. Then what happened happened. Both Ensi Maze and his family members are relieved after the release of the footage because they see that he did not commit any violent act" - said the accused's lawyer.
