Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj reacted for the first time after SPAK's request for his arrest.
In a message sent to Blendi Fevzi on the show "Opinion" when this issue was being discussed, he hinted that he will not surrender to justice. In his message, Arben Ahmetaj says that he will appear when, according to him, "the truth has taken its way".
"I will come out when you read the file. I will come out when you tell me that I am accused of having acquaintance and company with a man who at that time was a normal person in his own affairs. I will come out when you read that I am accused of corruption because my ex-wife sold square meters on the free market. I will come out when it is understood that my roommate and her family have bought a property with pure banking transactions.
It will come out when you understand and read and prove that Klodian Zoto was never the owner of that property that he was able to forgive or donate. It will come out when you read all my letters in favor of the public interest like the ones I thank you for coming out today.
I will come out when the truth has taken its way. I will come out when you ask real questions about where Arben Ahmetaj has favored. I will come out when you understand that I had nothing to do with the procedure. Then I will go out. It will come out when you read that those talks of 2012 are completely impotent in terms of lobbying or favoritism, even more so in the opposition", says Ahmetaj.
For former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, SPAK demands his arrest for 3 charges related to incinerators.
On Friday, the Parliament will hold a session to vote on whether or not to remove Ahmetaj's immunity, which would pave the way for his arrest by SPAK. We remind you that the Mandates and Immunity Council has approved this request, but the final vote in Parliament is expected.
The lawyers of MP Ahmetaj have confirmed that the latter is outside Albania.
