Oliverta Tosku tells about the problem of her son, who was arrested in April 2021 for several crimes, for the show "Stop".

The boy was serving his sentence in IEPV Vlora. In February 2022, the boy was released 3-4 months before the end of his sentence after he was told that he had completed his sentence.


During his free time, the boy goes to Italy several times. The last time in August, when he returned, he was arrested in Rinas after he had been declared wanted.

Now Oliverta says that the son must again suffer 20 months of imprisonment, when in fact he had served 11 months.

Since August, when he was caught in Rinas, the boy has been serving 5 months of imprisonment at IEPV Fier.

Complainant: My son is in prison today. He was arrested on April 7, 2021. He served 11 months and 19 days of detention and was released on February 15, 2022 by order of the prosecutor "immediate release". The boy tells you he has 3 more months to go. The boy fled to Italy, he came twice and left, the boy got engaged in Italy, the third time he was declared a "wanted person" and arrested in Rinas. The boy has been arrested since September 4 for the same criminal offense he committed under decision 163 which says "another 20 months in prison".

Journalist: Have you ever talked to prosecutor Xhemal Saliaj?

Complainant: He never let me in. Only once did he tell me that "I have made mistakes" he said.

Complainant: My son is in Fier prison and according to the documents I have, it says that the son must serve another 1 year and 7 months of imprisonment. In the Court, we requested the overturning of the prosecutor's order to make a calculation, but the calculation was not made and the boy is still serving his sentence. We have also made requests with lawyers and we have not received an answer. I came by myself and they did not accept me inside.

Arnold Tosku has addressed the Court of Fier requesting opposition to the order of execution of the decision on the calculation of the time of the sentence.

Judge Sonila Hoxha has declared for lack of judicial jurisdiction.

Then he appealed to the court for a reduction of the sentence and the judge Taulant Banushi dismissed it, since this offense is considered the beginning of the sentence from the second moment of arrest.

"Stop" turned to prosecutor Xhemal Saliaj to ask him why Arnold Tosku was released and arrested again, but he avoided the questions. 

Journalist: How were you, dear? For Arnold Tosku, you have executed the decision for release and completion of sentence. Why was he arrested again?

Prosecutor Xhemal Saliaj: Do you have anything for me to look at?

Journalist: Here, this is the execution you did for the decision and you said completion of sentence. Why was he arrested for the same decision?

Prosecutor Xhemaj Saliaj: Look at the decision.

Journalist: He saw it very well. Why did you release him and then announce him wanted?

Prosecutor Xhemal Saliaj: Look again madam.

Journalist: May I know why you released him and then declared him wanted?
