43-year-old Andrea Dervishi left Belshi for Tërvol Castle in Gramsh, to find gold, silver and diamonds, based only on a legend.

During the search, he was left hanging about 200 meters deep in the Holta canyon and fortunately he was rescued alive after 18 hours by the RENEA forces.

But what does the legend say about the Castle of Tervoli?

There is a legend that says that when Queen Teuta was losing the war with Rome, she retreated to the mountains between Gramsh and Pogradec, and it is said that she hid her treasure there. The reason why Queen Teuta passed there is that the Egnatia road that connected Elbasan, Gramsh and Korça passed there.

This was the place chosen for the placement of the treasure of Queen Teuta, which consisted of a considerable amount of gold, silver and jewelry with precious stones and diamonds, which were loaded and transported by 40 mules, their amount was equal in weight to 6000 kg.

It is said that a specialized unit of builders diverted the flow of the river in this part and placed the treasure. Then they walled the entrance with a stone wall, where they used lime, sand, eggs and cattle wool as binding material. The riverbed was then raised with gravel and stones before the river's flow was redirected, making this treasure hideout unrecognizable.

It is said that people who knew the exact location were eliminated. This is the legend. Over the years, there has been no shortage of searches for the treasure. Apparently, even Dervish has been following the famous legend.
