A 43-year-old Albanian man has been sent to prison in Italy after allegedly attacking the car of his former boss who had fired him with a Molotov cocktail.
The incident, according to Italian media, took place in August last year in Cento, in the province of Ferrara. According to the Carabinieri investigation, the man threw a Molotov cocktail at the entrepreneur's car, destroying it. The woman, his former employer, lives in San Giovanni in Persiceto.
Investigators say that after being fired from his job, he began a series of acts of revenge against her. In addition to the burning car, he is also suspected of another attack on the company. In another incident, he doused one of the company's vans with gasoline and tried to set it on fire, but failed to ignite it.
For this series of episodes, he was placed under house arrest, awaiting immediate trial. But in late February, he broke the security measure twice within just 24 hours.
The first time, the carabinieri found him in a bar and returned him to his apartment. Even on the day he was supposed to appear in court, the police went to pick him up at home, but he was not there. The search began immediately and the 43-year-old was found again in another bar.
After these repeated violations, the court decided to tighten the security measure due to the dangerousness and disrespect for judicial orders.
On March 7, by decision of the judge of the Bologna court, the Cento carabinieri arrested him and sent him to the Ferrara prison on Via Arginone, where he is now at the disposal of justice for the charges against him and for repeated escapes from house arrest.
