An electricity meter has an installation fee of 24,000 lek, but an electrical engineer in the capital asked citizens for 150,000 lek.

For the 46-year-old with the initials B.Ll. the prosecution requests arrest and imprisonment for the criminal offense "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions".

According to the investigations, the meter was installed by electrician BA, who is an accountant and was not from the area where the meter was installed.

"From several months of investigations with special methods for criminal proceedings 6738/22, it turned out that the 46-year-old man, during the exercise of his duties, installed electricity meters for citizens in various premises, against significant rewards. From the investigations, it turned out that the citizen B.Ll received 150,000 ALL for installing the meter when the fee is 24,000 ALL, the police informs.
